I have been skateboarding for over 30 years and I own 14 skateboards (12 are longboards-I'm 43 after all!) I'm in the process of converting ALL my boards to these bearings. So far I have 8 boards with these bearings and I could not be happier. They are fast and durable and less than half the cost of ceramics. I'm not aware of any bearings that come anywhere close to matching these in terms of performance and value. Don't waste a $100 on ceramics-GET THESE.

Reviewer: A. Bensko,
I already have a set of standard Bones Swiss, but since I was putting together a longboard with smaller wheels, I decided to get slightly faster bearings to make up for it. These definately firt the bill, and the with the cheap $35.00 price and free shipping that Amazon offers, you can't go wrong. These may seem dissappointing at first, but after about 3-5 hours of riding, they'll break in and go very fast. Overall very reccomendable to anyone in the skateboard world.

I bought these bearings as a replacement for my old ones. Man have I been blown away! I have a Sector 9 longboard on which I have Gullwing Mission 1 Trucks. I used to have Sector 9 Greaseball (Abec 5) bearings and 61mm 78A clear wheels. Now I purchased these Bones Super Swiss 6 bearings and 75mm Big Zigs and I have been really impressed! I can go over practically any surface (save for stairs/curbs or water) and not lose any momentum! Sticks and rocks are thrown out of my wake (unfortunately sometimes into people :P). If you're looking to upgrade your longboard, these will surely impress you.

I am an artistic/disco quad roller skater using vanilla freestyles with Vgrip interceptor wheels. I think I'm the first quad skater to rate or perhaps even use these bearings as everyone else appears to be a skateboarder.

Negatives: You must tighten the wheel nuts all the way down, not super tight, but all the way. My right front wheel came off during break in. These bearings for some reason cause the nut to loosen. Not sure why. There should be a torque specification for these to prevent confusion. the 8 pack is only enough for one skate. buy 2 packs, which they don't warn you about. break in time is not a sure thing, so don't listen to the product description. very misleading. just start skating and you'll know when they're broken in. Be careful with these bearings, once broken in they are super fast and you can hurt yourself. Bearings are about 1 mm off the quad axle, which seems odd, but see comments below.

Positives: The bearing fits loose, but actually leads to precision handling especially with figure 8s, Smooth gliding bearings at all speeds. Easy to clean, and you don't need spacers if your wheel has a machined groove. If you are a speed skater, you will never lose with these bearings. Trust me on that. A lot of fun for a great price.

I had a mix of ABEC 5's and 7's on my skateboard.... and i thought it was about time to buy some good bearings... so i bought the Bones 6 balls... WOW, the bearings are worth every penny... you go faster and its alot smoother... the Bones 6 balls spin longer not broken in than my mix of bearings... I will keep on buying Bones products from this day foward. My friend just cant seem to keep up with me when we skate around town... and hes always outta breathe when he reaches me. lol Grade A+ bearings hands down..
